    Purpose of the Position

    The Accounting Manager - Revenue is a leadership role in the Corporate Accounting team, with oversight of revenue accounting of the school. This position is also responsible for the full cycle accounting operations of the CME division as well as other non-core operations. This role reports to the Director of Accounting and works very closely with the school’s operations team and the CME team to ensure accurate revenue recognition and on time closing.

     

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee the calculation of revenue recognition during month-end close
    • Supervise the reconciliation & maintenance of deferred revenue and accounts receivable schedule
    • Review billing audit and revenue analysis
    • Review reconciliation of A/R, deferred revenue, allowance, population and other revenue related accounts
    • Manage month-end close of the CME division and other non-core operations
    • Prepare CME division’s monthly financial statements and conduct variance analysis
    • Assist with the budgeting process and reforecasting for the CME division
    • Perform ad hoc analysis and other job related tasks and duties as required

     

    Education/Experience

    • 5-7 years of relevant work experience required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
    • Strong skills with MS Office Suite products – particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
    • Great Plains, CampusVue and QuickBooks software experience preferred
    • Knowledge of US GAAP principles required
