    The Education Partnership Manager (Manager) is responsible for successfully growing, project planning and supporting the contracting and outcome measurement functions related to Global Education Group (Global), Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Education (CME) activities, respectively.


    The Manager works in a dynamic environment and interfaces with prospective and current external partners, including but not limited to funders, healthcare systems and internal staff. This role requires a self-starter experienced in business development and joint sponsorship to develop clients and sell Global’s certification and other services. This excellent communicator will call on pharmaceutical and hospital system executives (including C-Suite level) and upper level management certification contacts and managers throughout the country to develop new business and sell the benefits of our services.


    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    The Manager has core responsibilities in four areas:

    • Business Development: Executes sales and marketing plan for new accounts, targeting an array of healthcare systems, continuing education funders and developers, as well as obtaining new business from accounts outside our traditional scope
      1. Identifies market potential and new sales opportunities, recognize and contract add-on business opportunities, and build positive client relationships to grow Global’s business
      2. Produces and deliver accurate and effective information / presentations that demonstrate Global strengths and capabilities
      3. Maintains tracking databases and spreadsheets, including but not limited to those for therapeutic specialty areas, grants, and business development monitoring.
      4. Assists in account management of current partners
      5. Provides administrative and research support
    • Education Grants: Works closely with Global to compile, coordinate, and project manage CME grant proposals
      1. Assists in the development and management of project timelines, tracking, and quality control to ensure timely, accurate submission of all proposals
      2. Assists in the research and review of literature regarding proposals being requested and emerging trends in CME
      3. Compiles grant requests / applications, per the respective format required, and provide quality control to ensure that narrative justification for grants is of exceptional quality and clarity
      4. Assists in the submission of grant requests to funding or educational partner(s), respectively, and in writing periodic reports to comply with grant requirements. Maintain master tracking / file on all grant requests status
      5. General Administrative Support: Provides administrative assistance, including support with travel, document processing and management, and other administrative duties as assigned by manager
    • Legal: Demonstrates knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, CIE and internal UMA policies and procedures
    • Ethics: Effectively communicates compliance requirements to learners and other staff as appropriate and quickly escalates any compliance concerns

    Education / Experience

    • Four-year college degree
    • Business Development / Sales / Account Management experience in the pharmaceutical / CME / healthcare field(s), including a proven record and ability to analyze and develop industry contacts, prospect and manage the entire sales cycle, and close deals through strategic positioning and proven business development successes is essential
    • Ability to think independently in a process-driven environment
    • High level of dedication to customer service experience required


    Associated Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
    • Ability to oversee multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
    • Organized and detail-oriented
    • Diligent work ethic
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
    • Self-starter and team player with excellent interpersonal skills
    • Understanding of the educational design and compliance processes in CME
    • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
    • Available for domestic and international travel


    Physical Demands

    • Requires long periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer
    • Requires occasional bending, stooping and squatting
    • Requires occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
