Purpose of the Position:

The Partnership Success Manager (PSM) develops and maintains client relationships within an assigned territory. The PSM establishes and/or expands regional partnership training relationships for UMA Education, Inc., with healthcare employers who are in healthcare verticals, including but not limited to healthcare systems and hospitals, provider medical groups, pharmacies, healthcare staffing agencies, plasma and blood centers, insurance providers, urgent cares, and physicians’ groups. 

The Partnership Success Manager reports to the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Customer Success.

 

UMA is a nonprofit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus. 

  • Anticipated starting salary of $60,000; pay rate negotiable based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:


Functional:

  • Work closely with the Director of Partner & Learner Success to launch Initiatives to develop and sustain relationships geared to creating staffing and workforce training solutions with high-potential corporate partners.
  • Foster impactful connections with healthcare employers and community partners to advance targeted goals and strategically enhance employers’ capacity to attract and retain staff through training initiatives.
  • Support the launch of the training program cohorts and the continuation of training programs with individual partners.
  • Evaluate and support the organization cohort process and outcomes.
  • Participates in community events to build relationships with community members and represent training portfolios provided through UMA Education, Inc.
  • Works closely with Learner Success Specialist to stay in tuned with progress and outcomes of each partner cohort.
  • Maintain outreach to established and new employer partner accounts on a regular basis.
  • Establish a minimum number of client meetings per week with senior level decision makers at target firms.
  • Establish and nurture enduring partnerships leading to a significant rise in the number of learners trained, certified, or licensed as relevant, quantified through quarterly, and annual growth metrics.
  • Develop reputation and expertise within the target market to establish UMA Education, Inc as a go-to source for training solutions.
  • Engage proactively in researching, compiling lists, and strategizing for participation in relevant conferences to cultivate new contract opportunities.
  • Be available to answer employer questions via email and phone as they arise, whether during regular business hours or outside of typical business hours, as needed.
  • Develop strong internal relationships across UMA departments.
  • Participate in on-campus meetings as needed for cross-collaboration, employer sessions, production enhancements, strategy sessions, or at management request.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and requested.

Technical:

  • Track progress across individual accounts/employers in required CRM.
  • Strong research skills to uncover and understand potential partner hiring needs, job paths, and decision makers within partner organizations.
  • Strong operational skills and ability to triage day-to-day issues as they arise within training cohorts, maintaining positive communications with the employer and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of learner support and instruction as well as collaboration with learner support staff and instructional staff to ensure training cohort success.

Support Institutional Initiatives:

  • Keep current with institutional goals, objectives, and progress.
  • Engage in institutional sponsored activities and initiatives as appropriate.
  • Lead with courage in support of change initiatives that impact organization.
  • Assist in coordinating efforts between departments within UMA.

Compliance:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follow all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, CIE, and internal UMA policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate compliance requirements to students and other staff as appropriate and quickly escalates any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.

 

 

Work Experience, Skills & Abilities:


Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with corporate and employer partners at multiple leadership levels within an organization.
  • Aptitude for effectively working with employers to stand up and sustain training relationships.
  • 1 year of medical staffing or career services in the allied health or allied health training field.
  • Strong background of attracting new clients and maximizing existing relationships.
  • Ability to develop consultative relationships and to converse effectively throughout HR and Talent Acquisition functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex relationships at a given time.
  • Ability to pursue, negotiate and close strategic regional accounts.
  • Deep understanding of business issues facing clients particularly in the healthcare industry. Specific experience in an industry vertical is a plus.
  • Ability and history of being able to close deals in an entrepreneurial environment nationally.
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed.
  • Ability to professionally communicate in verbal and written English.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.


Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experienced in executive search, employment staffing, career services, out placement services or sales experience in the corporate sector.
  • Prior recruiting and/or staffing experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a high-pressure environment with timeline pressures.
  • Proven track record in professional sales or business development.
  • Committed, with strong follow-up skills.
  • Past success in servicing customers in a people-oriented industry.
  • Dynamic, high-energy personality.
  • Experienced with cold calling.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse customer base.
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented with a can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable working independently or in a team environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Positive, outgoing and confident.

 

Working Environment:

  • Hybrid role with regular, planned onsite or travel requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Requires long periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
  • Requires ability to travel.
  • Requires occasional bending, stooping, and squatting.
  • Requires occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
