Purpose of the Position:

The Graduate Success Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the assistance of all graduates within their first  few weeks of employment within the allied health care field, as well as assisting the Manager of Graduate Success in achieving an approval rating of 95% or higher by actively staying in contact with graduates to ensure success or to overcome any obstacles within the first few weeks of employment; and managing the number of invalid placements that are able to be returned to an approved stage.  The Graduate Success Coordinator reports to the Manager of Graduate Success.

 

UMA is a nonprofit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus. 

  • Anticipated starting rate of $18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:  

Functional: 

  • Assist in developing and maintaining systems used to identify employment opportunities for students and graduates. 
  • Assists graduates in being successful in the employment career services identified. 
  • Provides career coaching through constant communication during the first 2-weeks and up to the first 30 days of employment. 
  • Identify active students who are currently employed in an allied healthcare facility and completes all proper placement verification procedures. 
  • Other projects and duties as assigned. 

Compliance: 

  • Demonstrates knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, CIE, and internal UMA policies and procedures.  
  • Effectively communicates compliance requirements to students and other staff as appropriate and quickly escalates any compliance concerns to the Compliance department. 

 

Work Experience, Skills & Abilities:

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma Required

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution recognized by the US Department of Education in a related area.
  • Past experience in education, career services, employment staffing, out placement services or executive search.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a high-pressure environment with timeline pressures.
  • Proven track record in professional sales or business development.
  • Committed, with strong follow-up skills.
  • Past success in servicing customers in a people-oriented industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Internet required
  • Dynamic, high-energy personality.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse customer base.
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented with a can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable working independently or in a team environment. 

Working Environment:

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • This is a full time remote position 

Physical Demands:

  • Requires long periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
  • Requires occasional bending, stooping and squatting.
  • Requires occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
