Purpose of the Position:

 

The Corporate Alliance Recruiter collaborates closely with Account Managers to ensure successful placement of eligible graduates in roles within our Corporate Alliance employers. Their primary focus is on fostering strong partnerships and facilitating graduate employment opportunities.

 

UMA is a nonprofit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus. 

  • Pay rate: $20.00/hr

What You’ll Do:

 

  1. Eligibility Assessment and Outreach: Proactively reach out to the assigned graduate population to assess their eligibility for placement in available roles through our corporate partnerships.
  2. Accurate Documentation Management: Maintain precise documentation related to the graduate population. Regularly update student profiles to ensure consistent job matching with relevant opportunities.
  3. Support Team Coordination: Collaborate with appropriate support roles to coordinate web application and onboarding requests. Ensure that graduates complete all necessary pre-employment steps to start their jobs successfully.
  4. Sourcing Candidates and Conducting Interviews: Source candidates from existing student and graduate population. Build a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings. Conduct interviews to assess candidate suitability. Evaluate skills, experience, cultural fit, and alignment with the company’s values.
  5. Managing Candidate Communication: Organize communications with candidates throughout the hiring process. Schedule interviews, provide feedback, and keep candidates informed about their application status.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Skills – results driven, communication/interpersonal skills, relationship building/rapport, and time management.
  • Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Any degree or equivalent experience and/or any strong or advanced proficiency in the above required skills/experience.
  • 1+ years’ sales experience, staffing, long-line sales,
  • Experience in employment staffing, career services, out-placement services, or sales experience in the corporate sector and/or business development.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Other skills or abilities – influence, comfortability communicating with all levels of an organization, punctual, disciplined, complex problem-solving, attention to detail, and motivation.

Compliance: 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.  
  • Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department. 

 

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • This is a full-time remote position, with only occasional, planned onsite or travel requirements.
  • Home office set up, quiet place to work, ability to be on camera, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
  • May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
